She was the first female Provost of the College of Medicine and the First Deputy Vice Chancellor Development Services, University of Lagos.
She has facilitated and conveyed manpower development for several students at both undergraduate and post-graduate level. She has attracted over 10 million dollars for research funding and infrastructural development in the institution.
She created a clinic to provide medical, antenatal and HIV prevention services in one of the poorest slums in Lagos. Also, to improve access to HIV care, clinics and laboratory were created within General hospital Mushin, Onikan Health Centre and Iru Primary Health Centre through donor funding. In addition, as the Provost she attracted significant funding for infrastructural development for the College of Medicine.
