Professor Oyinade Elebute QCOG 1950 is a distinguished academic psychologist and nephrologist. She is also a honorary lifetime member of the QCOGA Board of Trustees. As a teenager, she wanted to become a medical doctor but Queen’s College did not offer sciences at that time. That did not stop her- she crossed over to King’s College to join the science class there.
Supported by an enterprising mother, she went on to achieve her dream of studying Medicine in the United Kingdom, coming top in her class. A pioneer medic at the Lagos Medical School, Oyinade is one of the foremost professors of Medicine in Nigeria.
